Novelvox's Licensing Update: Transitioning from Perpetual Licenses to Annual Subscription Pricing Model

We are transitioning from our existing perpetual product licensing to a brand-new, annual subscription pricing model for all NovelVox products.  

In recent years, the market has seen a significant shift towards a subscription economy, with most consumer and business technologies being offered as subscription services. The subscription-based pricing model has been widely embraced by customers across regions and industries as it allows for better alignment of spending with ongoing operating budgets, bridges the gap between expense and value, and ensures continuous delivery of value and experience from technology suppliers.

In early 2020, Novelvox had previously introduced a Subscription pricing model for its offerings/products on an annual basis to all new customers. As we further align with market trends and strive to deliver ongoing value to our existing customers, we are moving to the annual subscription pricing model with the following changes:

⦿ All NovelVox products have been moved to a new technology platform offering enhanced security, scalability, and future updates.

⦿ In order to ensure all future security/vulnerability updates, product updates, and continued support, all existing perpetual accounts will be migrated to the new platform (NDS upgrade) under a subscription pricing model. Existing customers will not be required to make any additional purchases for this migration. Instead, they’ll simply have to renew their product licenses on a subscription basis, replacing the current Annual Maintenance Contract.

⦿ Once migrated, it will not be possible to switch back to the perpetual licensing model. Additional seat licenses will only be available on a subscription basis. 

⦿ While customers with perpetual licenses can continue using their products, please note that Novelvox will no longer be able to offer support or service, upgrade, updated security patches against securities variabilities, feature/functionality updates, and enhancements, compatibility with ACD upgrades, etc on all products on perpetual licenses once the current Annual Maintenance Contract expires.

Why transition?

To simplify product licensing, many customers are choosing to convert fully to subscriptions with the following benefits: 

⦿ Increased financial flexibility with lower upfront costs and more predictable costs. Additionally, Novelvox is offering subscription licenses with a minor increment to the current AMC cost for existing customers.

⦿ Flexibility of software mix to accommodate changing market, technology, and methodology needs, within each subscription period.

⦿ Simplified software management and deployment

⦿ Active support and service warranty

⦿ Inclusion of the following updates:

 
 – Support and software updates

   – Security and vulnerability updates

   – New product features and enhancements 

   – ACD Compatibility updates

Most of our customers have already migrated to subscription pricing.

What Changes?

Once accepted, customers need to renew their product subscription license at the end of the current AMC annual agreement term. NovelVox is offering a discounted price for the subscription renewal for all existing customers, which makes the renewal pricing about the same price as this year’s AMC renewal rate would be. 

However, all new additional seat licenses above the current count will be available only on a subscription basis. Perpetual licenses are no longer available.
